The mission of the Association of Professionals in the Development of Cryptocurrencies and Digital Financial Assets is to create a favorable scientific and educational environment in the digital economy, support and implement nationally significant scientific and practical projects that ensure the strategic parity of national science in the field of information technology, artificial intelligence, processing systems for big data, distributed ledgers and digital assets.

In Association, a team of leading Russian scientists and practitioners has been assembled, engaged in solving urgent theoretical problems of the digital economy, implementing, organizing and coordinating scientific work, including with international participation.

Strategic partners and members of the Association are the Russian Association of Cryptoindustry and Blockchain (RACIB), the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex), the Association for the Development of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia (Group of Companies Techprombusiness), Pragma Consulting - Russian Technologies of the Future, the Lebedev Institute of Precision Mechanics and Computer Engineering, the group of companies InfoWatch.

The Association participates in work on the certification of security solutions in the field of the digital economy in cooperation with authorized organizations of the Russian Federation.

The Association has a Coordinating Council designed to determine the development strategy and coordinate its efforts.

The Association publishes the journal "Journal of Modern Digital Technologies".

The Association includes the Center for the Development of Cryptocurrencies and Digital Financial Assets, established in April 2018 within the VINITI RAS with the support of the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations of the Russian Federation.

In 2021, research work on the topic 0003-2019-007 "Research in the field of prospects for the development of technologies of digital financial assets (cryptocurrencies) and distributed ledgers (blockchain) for their application in the field of digital transformation of technologies and the economy of the Russian Federation" was successfully completed.

In Association the training of scientists and the expert review of dissertations are carried out.
